Most customers use our contingency plan: $0 upfront, and you pay a percentage only if your claim succeeds. For diminished value claims, the fee is typically a percentage of your settlement amount. For total loss claims, the fee is typically a percentage of the additional amount recovered above the insurer's initial offer — not the full payout. Exact percentages are shown in your plan details before you sign.

If you qualify, you'll walk through our 6-step calculator: eligibility, accident details, vehicle information, insurance details, plan review and signature, then a final review before submission.

What happens after I submit my claim?

After you sign your services agreement and submit, our team prepares your claim documents — usually within 24–48 hours. You'll review and approve them in your dashboard, then send them to the appropriate insurance company. From there, you can track insurer responses, counteroffers, and next steps in the same portal.

Does MyFreeCarValue negotiate with the insurance company for me?

No. MyFreeCarValue is a technology platform, not a law firm or public adjuster. We generate reports and documents and give you tools to communicate with your insurer, but you make all negotiation decisions — including whether to accept or reject any settlement offer.

Yes. Your calculator progress is saved as you go. If you leave and return while signed in, you can pick up where you left off from your dashboard or the resume prompt when you log back in.

We serve drivers across most of the United States. Diminished value rules vary by state — for example, New York and North Carolina are not currently supported for diminished value claims in our eligibility flow. Total loss support depends on your coverage and accident details.
